Dr. Joseph Owen is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized care to every patient he treats. With a focus on comprehensive and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Owen combines advanced clinical expertise with an artistic approach to create healthy, natural, and confident smiles.
A Connecticut native, Dr. Owen graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School in 2009 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University in 2013. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2018, where he developed a strong foundation in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and a deep appreciation for precision and patient comfort.
Dr. Owen continues to advance his skills through ongoing education in digital dentistry, smile design, and complex restorative care. At the Center for Aesthetic & Comprehensive Dentistry, he is known for his calm demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to treating each patient like family. His philosophy centers on long-term oral health, function, and beauty—always with the goal of creating an experience that is both relaxed and rewarding.

The Center for Aesthetic & Comprehensive Dentistry proudly stands as a privately owned dental practice, deeply rooted in the Fairfield community. In 2025, Dr. Joseph Owen acquired the practice from Dr. David Wohl, who faithfully served patients in Fairfield for over 44 years. Dr. Owen is honored to continue the trusted legacy that Dr. Wohl built — one founded on integrity, compassion, and genuine patient relationships.
As an independent, privately owned practice, there is no corporate involvement or outside ownership. Every decision is guided by what’s best for our patients and their long-term health. Dr. Owen’s mission is to preserve the warmth and personal connection that patients have always valued here, while introducing advanced technology, modern aesthetics, and an elevated patient experience.

Community and Personal Interests
Dr. Owen met his high school sweetheart, Allison, during his teenage years. Allison graduated from Fairfield University in 2012 and went on to pursue a career in nursing. After getting married, they moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where Dr. Owen practiced for seven years. Together, they built a life centered around family, community, and care — and recently returned home to Connecticut to continue building their legacy close to loved ones.
Dr. Owen and Allison have two children — Joey (4) and Poppy (2) — and a friendly yellow Labrador, Raleigh, who completes their family. Outside the office, Dr. Owen enjoys spending time with his family, exploring design and architecture, and staying active outdoors. His genuine, patient-focused approach reflects his belief that great dentistry begins with connection, trust, and compassion.
